Monday's Vocabulary

Suffixes -ly and -ful

safely, wildly, friendly, suddenly, perfectly, peaceful, boastful, faithful, grateful, playful, boasting, thankful, bravely, studies, helped

Tuesday's Vocabulary

oo as in moon

zoom, droop, loop, gloomy, proof, suit, boost, juice, ooze, rule, duke, cruise, school, crude, suitcase

Wednesday's Vocabulary

High Frequency

told, because, across, only, shoes, dance, opened, were, surprised ever, very, about, took, how

Vocabulary Test on Thursday

Comprehension on Friday

Phonics skills: suffixes, oo as in moon, review of compound words and vowels ew, ue, ui

 

Reading comprehension skills:  Cause and Effect, reveiw Character, setting, and Plot

 

English:  Adjectives that Compare


Spelling: Test on Thursday

slowly, careful, quickly, useful, painful, playful, sadly, gladly, nicely, wonderful, because, across

Math: Completing patterns and begin addition--students need to recognize the coins: penny, nickel, dimes, and quarters

They will need to know the values as well.

This will help them to get a head start on the chapter on Money.
